<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><Articles><Article><id>120</id><JournalTitle>WOUND HEALING ACTIVITY OF EXTRACTS OF Calyptocarpus vialis LEAVES IN ALBINO MICE</JournalTitle><Abstract>The current study provides a scientific test of the wound healing power of hydro-alcoholic extracted from Calyptocarpus vialis
Linn. leaves of plant. Excision, incision and burn wounds were grouped into three groups of six mice each. Group I is
assigned as a control (ointment base). Group II is treated with 10% hydro-alcoholic extraction. Group III was treated with a
standard silver sulfadiazine cream (0.01%). The observed parameters were the percentage of wound shortness, duration of
epithelialization, hydroxyproline content, strong binding capacity and histopathological studies. It was noted that the effect
produced by hydro-alcoholic extract of Calyptocarpus vialis ointment showed significant healing (P <0.01) in all wound
models compared to the control group. All parameters such as wound thinning, epithelialization time, hydroxyproline content,
tensile strength and histopathological studies showed significant changes (P <0.01) compared with controls. Ethanol extract
ointment leaves of Calyptocarpus vialis effectively stimulates wound healing; increases the power of excision, incision and
