Nature has already bestowed on us a wide variety of antiviral remedies in the form of herbs, they are characterized with a broad antiviral spectrum. These plants included: Adiantum capillus-veneris, Agrimonia eupatoria, Ailanthus altissima, Allium sativum, Ammi majus, Anchusa italica, Aristolochia maurorum, Asclepias curassavica, Astragalus hamosus, Betula alba, Caesalpinia crista, Calendula officinalis,Canna indica, Capparis spinosa, Carthamus tinctorius, Celosia cristata, Ceratopteris thalictroides and Chenopodium album. This review was designed to highlight the antiviral effects of these medicinal plants
