Present study is to investigate anti-inflammatory activity on the aqueous extract of Shorea robusta, in-vitro. As per phytochemical investigation the extract shows presence of flavanoids, tannins & saponins. The aqueous extract of Shorea robusta with a dose of 100, 200 & 500 μg/ml, was taken for the activity & compared with the standard Diclofenac doses of 20 & 40 μg/ml, in HRBC membrane stabilization model and same dose of extract was taken for activity & compared with Aspirin 200 μg/ml, using Heat induce haemolytic method. The extract of 500 μg/ml showed good result in both models.
