The Standardization studies for the wood sample includes macro and microscopical features, histochemical localization, fluorescence analysis, preliminary phytochemical screening, physico-chemical constants as pharmacognostic analysis and phytochemistry studies like estimation of primary and secondary metabolites and HPTLC finger printing of the methanolic extract of the wood sample were carried out. The specific pharmacognostic features, physico-chemical constants, percentage of phytometabolites estimated and HPTLC chromatogram will be useful in identifying the genuine drug botanically and chemically.
