The essential oil from leaves was isolated by hydrodistillation and analysed by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The main components in leaves were Thymol (36.79%), O-cymene (24.68%), Linalool (2.87%), Cyclopropane,1-cyclopropylethynyl-2-methoxy-3,3 dimethyl (2.37%), Beta Cubebene (2.68%), Methyl thymol ether (1.63%),Humelene (1.02%). Thymol and O-cymene are the major constituents of volatile oil with 36.79% and, respectively 24.68%.
